Some more seemingly random thoughts
I love baseball but the World Series is the evil empire versus the evil empire. I wish that both teams could lose while only Freddie Freeman has a great series.
I understand the economics of not resigning Freeman, opting instead for a younger less expensive, but still a very good replacement in Olson. But sometimes player loyalty and respect for the fans should outweigh the marginal gain from saving a few bucks and getting a younger player.
Isn’t Elon Musk an African American?
Musk has guts. Can you imagine all the lawfare in the form of federal investigations into his finances, his tax returns and the harassment of all of his businesses if Harris wins?
Why hasn’t the left called for a boycott of Tesla? They seem to want to boycott any business that supports Trump.
The Washington Post has lost 200,000 of its 2.5 million subscribers after it didn’t endorse Harris. The Post lost $77 million last year, so what’s a few more dollars?
Do you think Jeff Bezos really cares? Let’s see if the left calls for a boycott of Amazon. You think that those 200,000 would do that?
Bezos also has guts. Maybe its easier if you happen to have $211 billion dollars.
The LA Times only lost 2,000 of its 500,000 subscribers by not endorsing Harris. Its owner Patrick Soon-Shiong is also a billionaire African American (he like Musk was born in South Africa). He has guts too – and $6 billion.
Bezos did say that the media was the least trusted institution in American, having bested the Congress for that honor. He said that the public did not trust the media to report accurately. Of course the American public writ large recognizes that fact but the left does not.
An example of the pettiness of the left is when they published a hit piece on the health department citations of the McDonald’s where Trump “worked”.
I know it was a pure coincidence that after Trump was at McDonalds, a story appeared linking their quarter pounders to an outbreak of e coli. Later it was revealed that there was no evidence of e coli. Nevertheless, this is another example of what the media will inflict on you if you don’t toe their line.
The democrats are today’s “bitter clingers.”
How can a former attorney general of California, a former US Senator and a sitting vice president be the least able presidential candidate ever?
Harris can’t even answer a question from a friendly interviewer. Harris has actually said that she is slow to answer questions because she needs to research it first. That admission should be disqualifying.
One of many examples of her inability or unwillingness to answer a question was in the interview she had at Fox. Bret Baier asked her how many illegals had been released into the country during her tenure. Here is her “answer”: “Well, I’m glad you raise the issue of immigration because I agree with you, it is a topic of discussion that people want to rightly have. And you know what I’m going to talk about right now, which is — “. Baier then said “But do you — just a number. Do you think it’s 1 million, 3 million? Her answer was: “But Bret, let’s just get to the point, OK?” “The point is that we have a broken immigration system that needs to be repaired.” At least it was not one of her famous word salads.
Her inability to answer question and the deer in the headlights look on her face as she struggles to formulate a response even to friendly interviewers has led many of her distractors to say that she is stupid. One has called her an “idiot” say that she is “wildly, catastrophically, incontestably out of her depth.” To be fair, the same commentator has called Donald Trump a “lunatic.”
Those more sympathetic (note the word “pathetic”) insist that her answers are “nuanced.” One of her nuanced responses was “It is time for us to be doing what we are doing and the time for us to do it is every day.” How about her nuanced foreign policy statement, “Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country.” I particularly like the one where she says: a “moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future.” Nuanced indeed.
I guess some folks prefer double digit inflation, open borders, high energy prices, mandates against internal combustion engines, high crime rates, anti-Semitism, LBGTQ/trans pandering, war of fossil fuels, and restarting Iran’s nuclear program to Trump.
Of what use is the FBI? The FBI is clearly now a political wing of the democrat party. The stench of J. Edgar Hoover remains. Christopher Wray and James Comey before him are political hacks. They fostered the Russia conspiracy hoax, sat on the Hunter Biden laptop, failed to protect Trump against the assassination attempt, harassed Trump supporters and are now accused of covering up Iran’s interference in the 2024 election. Maybe it is time to disband the FBI and assign its duties to more competent law enforcement agencies.
Also while we are at it lets defund the UN.
