Random Thoughts #89
Trump and Hegseth. Obama. Just Wondering. France.
Trump and Hegseth
I saw a headline that said “Trump Cancels Hegseth’s Public Execution.” I bet there were multitudes of people out there who were disappointed.
This may be the first misstep by Hegseth that was recognized by Trump because he has offered no pushback on the other undertakings by the ex-Fox Secretary of Defense. As someone said, “Trump can be talked out of a bad decision — so long as it is not his own.” There is little doubt that of Trump’s cabinet, Hegseth will be target number one of the democrats when they come back to power following the midterms. He will be impeached — although not convicted — and nothing he wants will come out of the new Congress. Trump, however, is stubborn and will not fire him. Rather, one really frightening thought out there is that when Marsha Blackburn is elected governor of Tennessee, she will appoint Hegseth as her replacement — Hegseth is a Tennessee resident.
Gad!
Obama goes off the deep (left) end
Obama, unlike all his predecessors, has not gone quietly. He is back on the campaign trail rallying the troops to get socialists elected. He has gone from El-Sayed in Michigan (who says he is not a socialist, wink, wink) to Florida’s Angie Dixon, a full-blown, card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America who is campaigning on free childcare, a national rent freeze, and a 5% wealth tax to fund “direct payments to households earning under $150,000 a year.”
What’s with that? I actually don’t think Obama is a socialist, and if he is, he is a very rich one living in his several ritzy homes (like Bernie Sanders). I think he just hates republicans and is trying to persuade blacks that they need to vote against their own self-interest and elect socialists, even though they voted against those same socialists in the primaries. But I think he will fail and that both Dixon and El-Sayed will lose because blacks will sit this one out. Blacks may love Obama, but they are not duped by him.
Just wondering
If El-Sayed does win in Michigan, does he get a security clearance? Can he sit on the Intelligence Committee? If so, any rational US agent abroad should resign. Do Muslims elected to Congress swear allegiance to the Constitution “so help me God?” Maybe. They are not required to say it if it conflicts with their beliefs, since the Constitution itself says no religious test is required for public office.
France
Trump said: “France is right now burning down because it opens its borders to people who hate it.” Well, if they hate it, then why did they come in the first place? Did they learn to hate it? Why? I have always assumed that when people immigrated to America, legally or illegally, they were pursuing the American Dream, and that they and their offspring would eventually assimilate.
Polish-Americans, Asian-Americans, African-Americans, Jewish-Americans and Catholic-Americans all end up being American-Americans. So if France (and the rest of the EU) allowed in millions of immigrants, why did those immigrants come if they were not pursuing the French Dream — if there is such a thing? Letting in hundreds of thousands of people who neither share French values nor aspire to them would signal nothing but trouble to most rational people. But as someone pointed out, “Admitting people who don’t uphold French values is only half the problem. The other half is that the French themselves don’t appear to believe in anything.” That’s the rub. What do the French believe in? What is the French national identity? What are the common values? In school we were told it was “liberty, equality and fraternity” — the famous revolutionary triad. So far, so good, but is there a French Dream, like the American Dream? If there were, the immigrants would have assimilated into the French culture, rather than trying to destroy it.
Vive la France!
I hadn’t thought of Hegseth being a Tennessee resident. Then again, Kirk Herbstreit is also. Maybe his golden retriever would want the senate job? Cute and harmless would be a nice change.
Hard to imagine our own Burchett isn’t playing hard behind the scenes. He’s not been too shy about it…just stay away from the stupid UFO stuff, Tim…
Mr Obama loves divisiveness because he gets to incite the riot then watch the fight. Remember the kid in the playground who tells one kid that another said something bad about his mama then backed away to watch the fight? Obama 1.0….clean hands, dirty heart. Don’t forget Mr Rules for Radicals…those stripes run deep.
The Florida Dixon you mention has something in common with Trump – they’re both socialists! Problem is – Trump won’t admit it, and his blind loyalists did a way to support the supportable…..government investments in private companies….tariffs….etc.
Immigrants invade new lands because of dreams they make up in their minds. They assume an entitlement mentality (the American way!) and the problems begin.
Controlling the border long term doesn’t mean zero immigration. It means having sane rules that protect the essence of who we are in light of a compassionate posture based on rules and laws.
France and the wild left in this country don’t respect that.

Many good points today- and timely…
Yes, I think all people and not just the Black community , have a thing for Obama. Altho some say they hate every time he speaks. Not words that sound with perception..
It’s a small world after all. And the wedding I went to had French people. Not a one mentioned the unrest in their country. Because it’s not about their country- it’s about someone always acting up..
Hegseth’s Senate appointment by Gov. Blackburn is a shocking possibility that I’ve just heard about. And will disappoint Jacobs and Burchett. Who are Trumpettes, but the Trad-wife type, and not a work-wife B-word , like Hegseth.
I believe Blackburn will always put Trump Legacy above Tennessee. Despite the fact that she has successfully promoted bipartisan laws that lower health accessibility..
Hegseth’s home is apparently on land near a group of post-America, pre-Millennial Reign believers..
….”“Since 2023, according to data brokers and Sumner county property records, [ post- millennialist reign] Haymes, 33, has lived in Hendersonville, Tennessee. His home is located just 15 minutes’ drive from Hegseth’s Goodlettsville estate, but is on a far more modest scale than the defense secretary’s four-bed, seven-bathroom pile, which sits on almost 80 acres, according to property records and realtor advertisements.”…

But I’m told the YouTube videos of Hegseth’s home are fake. And I only believe that for two reasons:
the house is too welcoming to belong to This WAR secretary..
the railing on the back deck has spindles that move- in the recording- like a conveyor belt.
